• Songwriting Works' Touring Ensemble Judith-Kate Friedman, Matt Sircely, Keeth Monta Apgar with Daniel Deardorff and the Musical Instigators perform songs composed in Jefferson and Clallam counties

 

5:30-6:45 – Local Feast! Delicious community potlock with local yummies from Mt. Townsend Creamery, Pane D'Amore, Midori Farm, Red Dog Farm, Muskan Indian Restaurant and more

 

7pm – Honoring Veterans
• Northwest Premiere of Aba Kiser's WWII Homecoming Song Video - "poignant" - "inspiring" - "haunting" - historic photos from Ft. Worden, the Straits of Juan De Fuca, and the National Archive, tells the story of elder vets, their families and neighbors who served in and survived WWII. And the story of how songwriting inspired the reunion of twin brothers.

 

7:30pm – More Local Songs!
8pm Judith-Kate Friedman and Daniel Deardorff with Joe Breskin, guitar

Rosalinde Gilbert Innovations in Alzheimer's Caregiving Legacy Award - Songwriting Works to receive award in the category of Creative Expression. Presentation: 10am San Francisco Hilton, Union Square 9 (Tower 3, 4th floor).

AWARD RECEPTION & CELEBRATION 5:30-7:30pm Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason Street at O'Farrell, San Francisco Union Square. Short performance by Songwriting Works participants: Singers & Songwriters of the Jewish Home San Francisco with Judith-Kate Friedman. No host dinner to follow.

CREATIVITY MATTERS SYMPOSIUM: Health, Wellness and the Arts, Contemporary Jewish Museum, Yerba Buena Lane between Market and Mission Streets, San Francisco, 8am to 4pm.
